As someone on a budget, I am not ashamed to admit that I shop at dollar stores. Normally I don’t buy cards because the packs are obviously hitless, but they had something that caught my eye. A pack with 30 cards from mixed sports.
Check out the ‘gallery’ that features the highlights.
28 baseball cards and 2 basketball cards. Not very ‘mixed.’
This is the pile of guys that I never heard of; and I am someone who can kill hours on http://baseballreference.com
There were a lot of no name players, but you can’t argue with David Robinson, Jay Buhner, Wally Joyner, and Frank Thomas. Also the oldest card, a card from the late 70s.
Jonny Gomes rookie card, a damaged Kevin Appier rookie. Darin Erstad was an Astro? Terry McGriff, there is a name that I haven’t heard in ages. The Gomes card is probably the newest card of the 30, as it’s from 2005.
Overall: I have spent done a lot worse. This is probably the best value purchase on this site. I can’t complain one bit. This was like opening a Fairfield product but one that is actually worth the price.
