Random Review: junk from Target

For my birthday, I recieved $50 to Target from my sister. I annihilated it in one purchase. I bought 4 blaster boxes and 1 Fairfield box.
The haul:
Fairfield $7.99 baseball box – got me with the Bowman Platinum pack
Topps Allen & Ginter 2013 World Champions
2013 Panini Prizm football
2013 Bowman football
2013 Topps Archives football

Normally, I would spread these out and talk about each box one by one. As fast as I bought boxes, I opened them even faster.  These boxes were so bad that they don’t deserve their own post. I kept opening the boxes
waiting for something good to happen. I paid $15 of my own money on top of the gift card. I know that I’ve been on a hot streak with what I’ve been pulling lately but these boxes were flat out embarrassing. Granted I bought the blaster boxes at the clearance price but that is no excuse for this garbage. It is experiences like this that drive people out of the hobby.
After I took the pictures, I left the junk on the table in hopes that my dogs will get to them and make me forget about my purchase.

The decent:
A fair amount of rookies. No true superstars but the Tyler Eifert and Giovani Bernard ones are going in my PC with the Panthers ones.

The bad:
My hits are as follows: Miguel Maysonet gold Bowman card #ed to 399, Cody Ross mini #ed to 25, and Adrien Robinson Prizm autograph.
Maysonet is not on an active roster but is a practice squad player. Robinson is a free agent. Ross is the best of the bunch by being a reserve outfielder.

The awful:
The best hit in the Archives box was a gold insert of Devrier Posey. I know that box is for set builders but boy was it awful.
95% of what I got is non PC items. 75% goes in the donation pile.
