Steel City Collectibles has blessed me again, this time in the form of a Twitter contest. On top of their low prices, they are always doing something for collecting fans. I won a hobby box of Panini’s 2015 Americana release. I previously won a box from their football pick em contest where I pulled an Odell Beckham autograph. Getting the Americana box was a pleasant surprise as I actually have bought a few retail packs of this release; some of you can attest to this as I have slipped some of the base cards in ‘Misery Packs.’ The box offered 4 hits and was a blast to open.
I didn’t pull anything in the galaxy of the Beckham autograph but I did have fun. The hits were horse racing heavy as I pulled the ‘Danica Patrick of horse racing’ and the most recent derby winner. I also pulled a WWE diva and a sweet Tiffani Thiessen cell insert; how can you go wrong with her. I will be honest the autograph sucked, as I can walk into any local store and bump into an actor with better credits. Sorry, Gary Owen, but you weren’t even credited in your last movie and even the caterer gets credited. The inserts overall were fun and the true gem; even the parallels were a beautiful shade of blue. The music lover in me loved the album inserts.
If I had the money, I would pick up a few boxes and try to put together a base set. At $45, you can’t go wrong. I would imagine that the majority of boxes are a lot better than the one I got; I mean you can’t get a worse autograph. I am positive about this box and willing to buy another one if the funds present themselves.

While the rest of you were arguing over who’s favorite politician had a bigger man tool this week (I wish that I was joking on that front), I was pretty busy.
On top of applying for my dream job and working hard on the job front, I found time to open up a few of my Prestige boxes. Job hunting can be pretty stressful and there is nothing better than unwinding with a box of your favorite card product.
Since the page view count on the Prestige posts has been low, I don’t blame you guys, I am just going to combine all the highlights from 3 boxes into 1.

Continuing my quest to complete insert sets, I am still opening my Prestige basketball 2013/14 case. The last post on this topic didn’t get as many views so I put the hits in bold. Again, I would never be able to afford a case if it wasn’t for saving up my Swagbucks, token referral link here: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/pandanwh, which enabled me to earn a big Ebay gift card after 2 years worth of surveys. If this pattern continues, I will combine more boxes into a post – although I really am this slow; I am trying to keep my card buying to a minimum so I am trying to spread it out because I have no extra income as I am currently in the after college no man’s land of not having a job or financial aid to help me out.
Box 3 hits:
Every autograph and jersey was Bonus Shots
Luc MbahAMoute – I have a ton of his Prestige autographs. At first it was nice because he is a UCLA product but now its laughable – perhaps I should toss one into my giveaway pile.

Tony Mitchell Prestigious Premiers Signatures – aleady have

Since The Fairfield Company treated me so well after one of posts about their product, I decided to buy product for a third time. For the price of $5.99, I bought a ‘Jumbo Box’ of football cards. I bought this product purely because I liked how they treated me when they sent me that jersey card.

The days that I come in to the card shop have been terrible for me winning anything off the bid board, but I finally scored. I have to say this is one of my nicer scores as I was able to get 3 vintage 1958 Topps football cards and a Hall of Famer autograph for $3.50.
