As a collector on a budget, I have to work the ends of the hobby to get good value on cards. Fortunately some are hidden in plain sight like my Panini points pickups from a few weeks ago. So in a similar vein of that post, I present to you a new segment on this site: Undervalued?
I have no idea why The Iron Sheik would be an undervalued autograph. To me he is an upper echelon WWE legend, up there with the likes of Triple H, Mick Foley, and Booker T. He is the man who Hulk Hogan owes everything too, as he was the villain that helped birth Hulkamania. He is a former WWE champion, and was a champion when it meant everything to be champion. He is a Hall of Famer. Yet for some reason, if you browse COMC, his autograph is buried in price with autographs of nobodies like Adam Rose, Aiden English, and the Usos selling for higher than his. I picked up these 2 gems for $9 a piece. One to keep and one to sell when people come to their senses. At the very least I think his autograph should be a $20 autograph. I hate to say it but watch when he dies, his autograph will probably quadruple in value – and in wrestling years he is probably about 200, considering most die before the age of 50. The time to get his autograph is now.
Did my first live video. I’ll work on my charisma for you, and make an effort to include some giveaways when I do these in the future.
I started off with a redemption mailday from Topps. Followed by the unboxing of http://www.thatwrestlingclub.com/ That starts around the 5 minute mark of the video.Crate is compliments of https://www.facebook.com/Tmptofwrestling/

I have gone into three shops locally looking for a single pack of WWE Undisputed. It is a product that I have coveted since I saw a few reviews of it. I saw that PackRip.com had it but sat on it for too long and it sold out, that is until I asked if they were planning on restocking it. To my surprise, I got an alert a few hours later saying that they put some up. A huge selling point that hobby shops have left is that they are personal. Well guess what, after that Twitter exchange with PackRip.com, I had similar feelings to the ones I have when my guy at the card shop shows me something he knows that I would like. Did I schmooze them enough, right there? Well I meant it. It was something I genuinely appreciated. I have one more minor perk I liked for a paragraph after the pictures of my pack. WWE Undisputed guarantees a hit in every pack with 8 of the 10 from each box being an autograph.
Thankfully, I didn’t hit a non autograph. The autograph is cut off but I hit a Samoa Joe autograph. Honestly I am ecstatic. I don’t care if he never gets called up the main roster, he is a great wrestler who has main evented in every promotion he touched. I also hit a numbered Big Boss Man card.
Now for the second thing I like about PackRip.com. This is minor but I like how you can go back to the packs and see what was in each pack you bought. It’s a minor perk but one that you will never get in real life unless you keep the cards loosely in an opened pack.
I do have a confession. The real reason why it took so long to post is because I am dying the review their trade feature. My trade name is ‘pandanwh.’ I will consider any offer.
Steel City Collectibles has blessed me again, this time in the form of a Twitter contest. On top of their low prices, they are always doing something for collecting fans. I won a hobby box of Panini’s 2015 Americana release. I previously won a box from their football pick em contest where I pulled an Odell Beckham autograph. Getting the Americana box was a pleasant surprise as I actually have bought a few retail packs of this release; some of you can attest to this as I have slipped some of the base cards in ‘Misery Packs.’ The box offered 4 hits and was a blast to open.
I didn’t pull anything in the galaxy of the Beckham autograph but I did have fun. The hits were horse racing heavy as I pulled the ‘Danica Patrick of horse racing’ and the most recent derby winner. I also pulled a WWE diva and a sweet Tiffani Thiessen cell insert; how can you go wrong with her. I will be honest the autograph sucked, as I can walk into any local store and bump into an actor with better credits. Sorry, Gary Owen, but you weren’t even credited in your last movie and even the caterer gets credited. The inserts overall were fun and the true gem; even the parallels were a beautiful shade of blue. The music lover in me loved the album inserts.
If I had the money, I would pick up a few boxes and try to put together a base set. At $45, you can’t go wrong. I would imagine that the majority of boxes are a lot better than the one I got; I mean you can’t get a worse autograph. I am positive about this box and willing to buy another one if the funds present themselves.
